Ponte Vedra's Gym, featuring 8,000 square feet of open and versatile space, may possibly be the largest oceanfront fitness center in the nation.
A second floor main fitness area is cleverly situated on three elevated tiers, providing all fitness enthusiasts with dramatic views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean. Here, more than 75 individual exercise stations provide members with a variety of fitness pursuits.
The lower tier provides an emphasis in cardiovascular exercise with treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, Stairmasters, and a variety of bicycles and rowing machines. The middle tier emphasizes strength training with the popular Cybex selectorized resistance equipment featured. The upper tier of the Gym also emphasizes strength training, however, free weights are the focus. An additional feature of the Gym is a series of televisions suspended from the ceiling providing all with the ability to keep current with news and sports.
The Ponte Vedra fitness experience also includes three separate exercise studios, each featuring "floating" hardwood floors and state-of-the-art audio systems. An Indoor Cycling Studio, Aerobics Studio and a Pilates Studio each offer the most current equipment and the finest in programming and instruction.
A dynamic and diverse schedule of more than sixty exercise classes per week are available to members. A sampling includes step aerobics, core training, indoor cycling, Aquacize, yoga and Tai Chi.
